The Furonnière estate
A bit of history
Domaine de la Furonnière has been passed down from father to son since 1936. Florian took over in 2017. He represents the fourth generation to share this passion for wine. Before settling in, he wanted to gain experience in the Nantes vineyards and even made a detour to New Zealand for a few months. He is committed to producing high-quality work that respects the living world and its terroir. To achieve this, he didn't hesitate to reduce the vineyard by almost half upon his arrival. The clear weather allows for more care, not only to the soil and the plants, but also to diversify the winemaking process and increase the offerings for curious tasters. He is gradually freeing himself from "chemicals" and is aiming for a conversion to organic farming in 2021. The entire vineyard will be certified for the 2025 harvest.
Florian also cultivates another art: music, you will not be surprised to find musical references throughout his range.

Florian's vintages
He vinifies in the cellar to offer you two main types of wine:
- Classic vintages, whose primary objective is to reveal the fruit and character of the eight grape varieties grown on the estate. These are "wines for friends" with a variety of tasting occasions.
- The aged cuvées, produced primarily from Melon de Bourgogne (Muscadet grape variety) and produced through meticulous plot selection, innovate and showcase the terroir. They are patiently aged, most often on fine lees. These are "Sunday bottles" where Florian strives to bring Muscadet to its highest level and offers to surprise the taster.
